The Dogon have a rich repertoire of masks. Over seventy masks anthropomorphic and zoomorphic have been identified among the Dogon. Antelopes, hares, monkeys and many other animals which give masks an incredible diversity of shapes and sizes.

The face of this copy is structured by vertical lines drawing the large rectangular cavities. A metal hook with a protective role - called a guwo - is inserted in the upper part of the mask.
