Historien de l’art de formation, Nicolas Rolland a travaillé chez Christie’s puis à la Galerie Jacques Barrère, avant de s'établir comme marchand dans le domaine des arts premiers, il y a bientôt dix ans.
Passionné par les cultures anciennes d’Afrique sub-saharienne et d’Océanie, il propose à la vente des œuvres rigoureusement sélectionnées pour leur authenticité et leurs qualités esthétiques.
Nicolas Rolland est membre de la Compagnie Nationale des Experts (CNE). Également très impliqué dans la recherche, il a co-écrit et dirigé la publication de plusieurs ouvrages de référence:
- Galerie Pigalle : Afrique, Océanie. 1930. Une exposition mythique (éditions Somogy/HR 2018, sélection Prix PILAT 2018)
- Afrique, à l’ombre des dieux. Collections africaines de la Congrégation du Saint-Esprit (éditions Somogy 2017, lauréat prix PILAT 2017)
Nicolas Rolland reçoit sur rendez-vous dans ses locaux situés à Paris dans le 7e arrondissement, et prochainement dans son nouvel espace situé dans le quartier de Saint-Germain-des-Prés à Paris.

Art Historian, Nicolas Rolland worked for Christie's and at Galerie Jacques Barrère, before establishing himself as a merchant in the field of the primitive arts, almost ten years ago.
Passionate about the ancient cultures of sub-Saharan Africa and Oceania, he offers for sale works rigorously selected for their authenticity and their aesthetic qualities.
Nicolas Rolland is a member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts (CNE). Also very involved in research, he co-wrote and directed the publication of several reference works:
- Pigalle Gallery: Africa, Oceania. 1930. A mythical exhibition (Editions Somogy / HR 2018, selection PILAT Prize 2018)
- Africa, in the shadow of the gods. African collections of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Editions Somogy 2017, winner of the PILAT Prize 2017)
Nicolas Rolland receives by appointment in the 7th arrondissement, and soon in his new space located in the district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris.
